kaiya.marjoribanks@ trinitymirror.com Callander-based not-for-profit outdoor sports company Skidaddle hosts its latest race this weekend.
The Breathing Space Callander 10k Spring leg tomorrow (Saturday) will also see a 5k and 1k fun run as runners of all ages, shapes and sizes take to the Callander countryside.
It provides a circular tour of the Trossachs capital including the historic town centre, rivers, hills and forest trail.
Skidaddle provides and promotes sport and adventure opportunities in rural central Scotland with social and economic benefits for local communities.
They organise a series of events throughout the year that include running, cycling and other activities.
Skidaddle CEO Maz Wyllie said:“We have some people who are really competitive amateur runners and then we also have people who have never done anything like this before and may be suffering from some sort of mental health issues.”
Registration for the event is from 9am until 10.30am with the race getting underway at 11am. There will be on the day registration subject to availability.
Breathing Space is a free, confidential, phone service for anyone in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety.
See next Friday’s Stirling Observer for photographs from the event.
