The Alman Dramatic Club is offering the public a chance to experience the big screen at Clackmannanshire’s smallest theatre.

The club is holding an exclusive free film screening at its home, the Coach House Theatre in Alloa, to give a taste of its new over-18s film strand The Big Picture and the‘cinema’experience members have.

Continuing the Alman tradition of championing drama in all its forms, The Big Picture aims to inspire, inform and entertain through film-making, workshops, social events and film screenings.

The Alman will show psychological thriller, Altered Minds (15), on Wednesday, 17 May, by special arrangement with the filmmaker.

Doors open at 7pm and the screening will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets are limited to four per person and can be booked at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ the-big-picture-exclusive-filmscreening-tickets-34028189230

A family reunion goes awry when the oldest son (Ryan O’Nan) makes the accusation that his dying father (Judd Hirsch), a famed psychiatrist who worked for the CIA, carried out psychological experiments on his adopted children.

Directed by Michael Z. Wechsler, Altered Minds was premiered in the UK at the Glasgow Film Festival in 2014 under the title The Red Robin.

Starring Judd Hirsch (Independence Day, Ordinary People) and a number of indie-stalwarts and well-known faces from US television shows, the film was well received at festivals across the world and had a short theatrical run in the USA (which saw its title changed to Altered Minds).
