Stephen Kerr
Stephen is 56. Born in Dundee and raised on a council estate in Forfar, Angus, his father was a butcher to trade and worked at the Co-Op. His mother worked in a nearby shop. He attended the local primary school then Forfar Academy and left at 16 to work as a bank junior.
Stephen graduated from Stirling University with a degree in business. His career has largely been spent working in sales and marketing. Currently he is head of sales operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa for an international company. Stephen has a strong belief in public service and has stood previously as a candidate for the local council and for the Westminster parliament. Stephen married Yvonne Hood in 1983. They are the parents of four children and have seven grandchildren. They live in Bridge of Allan.
He said:“This election is hugely important. Not only do we have the opportunity to put Theresa May in a strong position to act in our country’s interest , we can also send a powerful message that the SNP must end their obsession with Independence.
“Look at the mess our economy, education system and our police are in for example; that’s what happens when you don’t focus on the day job for a decade.
“Stirling deserves an effective advocate and who can say we have had that in the last two years?
“Should you honour me with your vote I can promise you will have elected a champion for the entire constituency, who will work tirelessly for its interests and not someone whose priority is an issue that we were told was‘once in a generation’, or who has imposed unnecessary costs on the public purse through their expense account.”
