Coach will leave Dunblane (between Post Office and Victoria Hall) at 9.30am to Barry Mill in Carnoustie for tour of NTS property. hall at 6.30pm. This will be a less formal service, comprising worship, a DVD session and some thinking time as well as a cup of tea or coffee. Next family-specific evening services is on Sunday, June 4, starting at 5pm with a meal and worship in the hall. Sign the sheet in the Mitchell Room so that numbers and dietary requiremen­ts can be ascertaine­d. The Boys’ Brigade Display will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 6pm in the Dunblane Centre. There will be the usual cafe in the Cathedral Halls and a door-to-door collection. Startup Stirling are having a special drive to get in supplies for the summer months. There is a particular need for tinned food, instant meals, jars of cooking sauce and baby wipes. On Saturday, June 3 at 6.30pm in St Mary’s Church Hall there will be an evening entertainm­ent of amateur performers on behalf of the Scottish Bible Society. Dunblane Cathedral The Christian Aid restaurant and stalls continue in the halls today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) between 10am and 2pm, offering a wide range of freshly-made soups and sandwiches etc. The stalls will have their usual range of plants, books/CDs, brica-brac and home-baking for sale. Midweek service will be held as usual at 11am tomorrow (Thursday). This short service is open to all and takes place in the choir area of the church. On Saturday, May 20 there will be a coffee morning in the hall organised by Dunblane Senior Citizens. Doors open at 10am. On Sunday, it has been decided to hold the morning service at the usual time of 10.30am. The Stirling Marathon passing through Dunblane will inevitably cause some disruption. The halls will be open before the service offering tea/coffee to those who want to avoid the disruption and get here early. All department­s of the Sunday School will meet as usual. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service. St Mary’s Episcopal Church The services on Sunday will be at 8.30am and 10.30am with tea and coffee after the second service. Due to the Stirling Marathon, there will be a short

Eucharist in the church at 6.30pm for those on the west side of Dunblane who will be unable to get to church in the morning.

History Group The monthly talk is in the Heritage Centre on Thursday, May 25 at 7.30pm. Speaker is Hugh Dan MacLennan, who will give a talk on Scottish Sport. All welcome entry £1 for members and £1.50 non mebbers. Tea and coffee available. Planned exhibition Tullibody History Group is planning to hold an exhibition later in the year. The theme will be local sports related to Tullibody and Cambus residents or people trained in Tullibody. The proposed topics are judo, curling, football, wrestling, bowling, golf and pigeons.
