Giving it their all
More than 200 youngsters took part in the annual Active Stirling-organised Secondary Schools Athletics Championships at Stirling University last week.
S1-S3 pupils from all Stirling Council secondary schools along with athletes from Queen Victoria School in Dunblane competed in track and field events on a gloriously sunny day.
Event organiser and Active Stirling’s Athletics Development Officer Alison Grey said: “This is the second time we have held the Secondary Schools Athletics Championships for local secondary schools and participant numbers and quality of competition has improved from last year and the support from local athletics club Central Athletics has enabled us to provide further opportunities to these talented athletes.”
Catherine Sharkey, vicepresident of Central AC, presented medals.
