Second birthday bash for Subliminal night

-

One of Stirling’s hottest club nights “Subliminal” will celebrate its second birthday this weekend.

On Saturday (May 20) at the Fubar, the promoters behind the well established club brand “Phreakunique” will be bringing yet more top DJs to Stirling.

Since re-locating to the Fubar in November of last year, Subliminal have welcomed club legends such as Allister Whitehead (Cream & Hacienda) Junior J (Ushuaia Ibiza) Jon Mancini (Colours) and K-Klass to the club.

After working closely with big names from music management they have managed to secure more top talent over the coming months such as Radio 1’s Seb Fontaine and Glasgow Underground’s illyus & Barrientos, plus they are also in talks with Spanish agents to bring a huge act from Ibiza over in September.

This Saturday, the club will be transformed with club decor, visual lighting, Co2 cannons and much more being introduced as Subliminal celebrate the second birthday party with a whole host of DJs spinning on the night such as organisers John Devlin and Bob Mitchell, Stevie Laird, Stevie Berrington, Kye McLachlan and Jamie Whitelaw.

Special guests DJs, and Ibiza Legends, Brandon Block and Alex P will be flown in especially for one night as they help celebrate the birthday bash.

Promoter and founder John Devlin said: “We have been waiting so long to celebrate this night and can’t thank the club enough for all the support they have given us help put it all together. There is such a great buzz around town for this night. Having Brandon and Alex as guest DJs is very exciting for us and we are anticipating this to be a busy night.

“I can remember the early 90s when the Fubar was always at the forefront of the Scottish club scene, and as a commercial night club won numerous awards over the years. But it has also always been known to have brought some of the best talent into Stirling from Pete Tong to Carl Cox, and acts such as M-People to Take That.

“For me starting my DJ career here at the club over 20 odd years ago, it’s great that we can carry on doing what we did best back then up until now. After being a resident at the club for a number of years the management has always shown respect and trusted my decisions as a promoter and DJ, as well as a friend of the family run establishment. This makes it easier to be given the opportunity to host our events with the best guest DJs we can book.”

Following the success of the club night, Subliminal and Fubar are about to launch an Ibiza competition on John’s Friday night “Subliminal Sessions” show on Stirling City Radio soon. One lucky listener will be in with a chance of winning a holiday to the White Isle, with more details to be announced.

You can purchase tickets for Subliminal’s second brithday event via http://fubarclub.info/event/ subliminal-saturdays-presentsbrandon-block-alex-p/ or pay on the door on the night, If you can’t make it along, SCR have recently joined forces with the Fubar Club to stream and broadcast live from the premises on special club nights, with the event being broadcast live.
