Pupils win medals galore at annual athletics meet
More than 200 youngsters took part in the annual Active Stirling-organised Secondary Schools Athletics Championships at Stirling University last week.
S1-S3 pupils from all Stirling Council secondary schools along with athletes from Queen Victoria School in Dunblane, competed in track and field events.
Catherine Sharkey, vice-president of Central AC, presented medals and event organiser, Active Stirling’s Athletics Development Officer Alison Grey, said: “This is the second time we have held the Secondary Schools.
“Athletics Championships for local secondary schools and participant numbers and quality of competition has improved from last year and the support from local athletics club Central AC has enabled us to provide further opportunities to these talented athletes.”
