This weekend’s Mhor food and drink festival in Highland Perthshire promises an exciting line-up of top chefs.

The three-day festival which starts today (Friday) at Monachyle Mhor Farm in Balquhidde­r will host a number of award-winning chefs and entertainm­ent, including Scottish Chef of the Year, Lorna McNee, from Gleneagles Hotel who will prepare a five-course meal for the Mhor Feast, along with an all-female kitchen.

Other highlights include a raft race, circus skills workshop, and a mobile yurt cinema showing independen­t films. The festival in Highland Perthshire will also offer onsite camping and glamping options.

Tom Lewis, the founder of the festival, said: “Mhor Festival is more than a food festival. It is a great party with an excellent lineup of our favourite chefs, DJs and musicians.”

Paul Bush, VisitScotl­and’s events director, said: “With live music, theatre, children’s entertainm­ent and, of course, a great selection of local food and drink on offer, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.”
