Members of Stirling New Figure Skating Club enjoyed success on the ice at two top events.

Kitty Houston of Wallace High placed first in the level one ladies’ 12-and-under event at the Blackpool Ice Skating Festival.

Bannockburn High pupil Joanne Turnbull was second placed in the level three ladies’12-and-over at the same event.

Eilidh Thomson, first year at Stirling High, came second in both Blackpool and at the Murrayfield IJS competition in level one ladies’ 12-and-under.

Maria Kujawa, third year at the same school, also placed second at Murrayfield in the level five ladies’ 12-and-over.

A spokesperson for the club said: “All of our skaters have done very well, have enjoyed competing and are looking forward to upcoming competitions.”
