“This election is vitally important. We face a huge challenge but one full of opportunities that, if embraced, can be realised.

We will only succeed by pulling together, not by pulling apart. We must resist the crude, inward looking rhetoric pedalled by the SNP and come together to enable Stirling and Scotland to contribute positively at this pivotal time. It is clear, especially after the recent local election results, that in Stirling I am the only candidate that can beat the SNP. Let us stand together above party allegiance, above any other consideration to send our message that now, of all times, is not the time for division.

Should I be elected as your MP I promise you I will not let you down and I will always put Stirling first. The constituency desperately needs an effective, hardworking, advocate arguing for Stirling’s priorities from within the UK Government.

For two years we have had to endure the carping, negative claptrap from the current MP. We cannot afford it any longer and Stirling deserves far better from its elected representatives.

Across Scotland more and more people see the SNP for what they are. They have failed in Government while remaining obsessed by Independence. No one is fooled any more by their‘always someone else’s fault‘ mantra.

Enough is enough and let us take this opportunity to say very clearly; Respect the decision in 2014, get over it and get on with tackling the important issues such as education, the economy, our police and our health service.

Please use your hard won right to vote and I urge you to choose a united, positive future for the UK, for Scotland and for Stirling. Vote for the effective representation you deserve. Vote tomorrow for cooperation not division.”
