Law firms join forces for work

-

Bartys in Dunblane has been providing generations of families with trusted legal services since 1829.

They have now joined with Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP, an independent Scottish law firm with a history stretching back 160 years and offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.

We find out from Bartys Partner, Beth Hamilton, what new services we can expect to see being introduced from their High Street branch.

“Bartys has always been renowned for our private client service expertise.

“Whether it is preparing Wills, Power of Attorney, Estate Planning or buying or selling a house, we help individuals, couples, families and very often multiple generations of the same family by ensuring their planning needs are taken care, that their affairs are in safe hands and they have peace of mind for the future.

“WJM also has a hugely respected private client and wealth planning team and there is a lot of specialist experience and expertise that exists within their team, so this means we can expand our private client services’ offering.

“We now have, for example, a specialist adviser qualified in mediation and collaborative law who can help provide advice with issues such as separation, divorce, child custody and pre-and post nuptial agreements.

“We can also now offer charities, trusts and social enterprises wealth planning advice from a specialist in charity law and given WJM’s reputation as a market leading law firm for family businesses, we hope we can attract more family businesses to come and talk to us.

“Now that our Dunblane office is part of WJM’s integrated office network, clients will benefit from a wider spectrum of services and an enlarged team of experts, including specialists in employment law, commercial property, corporate law, conflict resolution, as well as planning and environmental law.

“None of this means we will lose the personal touch and friendly approach that we are known for.

“As someone who has lived in Dunblane for 31 years, and worked in Bartys for the last 18 years,

“I know how much this matters. WJM and Bartys share the same values.

“Individually, our firms have always aimed to provide a high quality legal service whilst being friendly and approachable.

“We have striven to be professional and commercially astute yet easy to deal with.

“Both firms are committed to getting to know our clients, understanding their needs, whether it is for themselves, their business or both, and bringing our knowledge to bear to help them achieve their needs and ambitions.

“It is a great union between two long established, highly regarded firms. We share the same purpose and vision which is to put our clients at the centre of everything we do – so please come and talk to us to find out how we might work with you to help you achieve your goal, for yourself, your family and your business.”
