A closely contested games was epitomised by the spread of gold medals with Dunblane taking the netball title, Bannockburn and St Modan’s sharing the spoils at the basketball, Stirling victorious in the volleyball and McLaren dominating the hockey competition.

Dunblane High School PE teacher Andrew Ritchie said:“We feel there is great value in increasing the exposure of young people to a competitive environment and were pleased to have representation across all events. Through events like the Junior Games we are able to develop and strengthen our partnerships with both Active Stirling and the other secondary schools.’’

Active Schools manager Colin Naismith added:“The event is so rewarding, bringing young people together from across the Stirling area and encouraging their involvement in a diverse range of sporting activities in one single event.”
