Man’s sex acts in garden

-

A man who repeatedly committed lewd acts in his garden has been spared jail.

Andrew Williamson admitted repeatedly commiting offences of public indecency at his home in Balmoral Court, Dunblane, on May 5.

The 41-year-old appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court for sentencing on Wednesday.

The court heard that police were called after a neighbour spotted Williamson committing the act in the garden.

Fiscal depute Laura Knox said: “The neighbour was shocked by this as he has a young daughter who visits him at weekends and there are several young children who live in the street and frequently pass the accused’s garden.”

Police attended and saw Williamson again behaving innappropriately. At one point he was naked in the garden.

When they approached him, Mrs Knox said, “He didn’t appear to be surprised and stated that he had been drinking.

“Officers also noticed that he had been watching a sexual chat program at the time.”

Defending, Alastair Ross said that Williamson had complied with social workers in preparing a full and detailed report for the court.

Sheriff Wyllie Robertson sentenced Williamson to 12 months supervision and 100 hours of unpaid work.

He said: “I consider that it is appropriate and necessary for you to undergo a period of supervision.”
