Miners Welfare Social Club Bingo on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8pm. Friday night will feature the band Crossroads.

Community council Meets in the community centre on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.

Stirling Christadelphian Church Bible hour at the church at 40 Main Street is held every Sunday from 2.30pm, with Sunday school at the same time. Craft Club The club resumes in September. Flower Show On Saturday, September 2, a flower show will be held in Allan Church Hall. There will be flower and vegetable competitions as well as baking, knitting and flower arranging contests. There will also be a competition for the children. Teas will be served on the day. More specific details of competition can be obtained from Margaret on 01786 813281.

Allan Church Service on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Rev Ken Russell and Welcome Team 2 is on duty. Sunday school (Christian Film Club) and creche available. Volunteers wanted to help with Christian Film Club in place of Sunday school over the summer. Speak to Kirsty MacGowan. Volunteers wanted to help out on an occasional Sunday for holiday relief. Ladywell Church Service on Sunday at 11.15am will be led by the minister Rev Liz Robertson. Team Three will be on duty. Thursday coffee mornings will resume in September.

Murrayfield UF Church Service on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by minister Rev Gary Barclay. Target, fabric and charity boxes are still being used and thanks go to all concerned. Welcoming on Sunday are Mrs A Gray and Mrs N McDonald. Offering duties are Mrs A Kerr and Mr K Scott.

Bowling club Tomorrow (Thursday) is a Top 15 match at home, starting at 6.45pm. On Friday the league final at Dunblane is at 7pm; mixed rink at club from 7pm and bingo and joker draw at 9.30pm. On Sunday the Friendship Trophy is at 3pm and on Tuesday, July 11, the Duncan Trophy (four triples) takes place away from home.
