Church of the Holy Rude Service on Sunday will be conducted by Rev Alan Miller. The new time of 10am has now started and will be in place until the end of the year .On Saturday, July 29 at 7.30pm, the 450th Anniversar­y of the Coronation of King James VI Lecture by Dr Steven Reid, University of Glasgow is “From bairn to bearded man - the political apprentice­ship of James VI , 15781587”. Stirling Free Church Sunday services are held in the Smith Art Gallery and Museum Theatre. Speaker at 11am service on Sunday is Rev Innes Macsween and at 6pm , speaker is Mr Duncan Murchison. Holy Trinity Episcopal Church On Friday, July 7 Holy Communion will be celebrated at 11am and on Sunday, July 9, Holy Communion will be at 8.30am, followed by Sung Eucharist at 10.30am. Allan Park South Church The service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by the minister and Sunday Stars for younger children takes place during the time of worship. Tea and coffee will be served downstairs in the hall immediatel­y thereafter. Wellbeing Choir is on holiday until August 22 but will meet informally on Tuesdays at 7pm. St Columba’s Church Sunday service at 11am will be led by Rev Jim Landels. During the period July 5-26, pastoral cover will be provided by Rev Gary McIntyre. The National Youth Choir of Scotland Training Choir will be performing their annual performanc­es at Stirling Castle on Sunday from noon-3pm in the Chapel Royal. Price included in standard castle admission. Poetry Roundabout The popular event is back at the Smith Art Gallery and Museum at 11am on Friday, July 7. Everyone is welcome to come along and read, recite, and discuss or just listen and enjoy - as the poems go round. Admission free - donations to the Smith are welcome.
