Rosettes galore for Wee County Vaulters
Wee County Vaulters enjoyed a successful trip to the British International Equestrian Vaulting competition held at Onley Equestrian Centre, Rugby last weekend.
Wins came for Kerri Brylka in Female Junior Two-Star event and the CVI Three-Star Pas de Deuz coupling of Rebecca Norval and Lisa Marver.
A close runner-up to Kerri was Mitra Pezeshki with Mhairi Hume eighth in the same event. Kerri and Mitra both vaulted on Tylers Kernel lunged by Amanda McLachlan.
In the Child Female Individual class, Codi Hay, vaulting on Captain Jack, lunged by Lisa Mercer, was fifth behind Natasha Nicole Arrizabalaga from Argentina, who vaulted on Wee County’s Tylers Kernel lunged by Joanne Eccles.
Kyra Lennie, vaulting on Captain Jack lunged by Lisa Mercer, was sixth in the Junior Female Individual class.
The Junior Squad class was won by the Scottish EquestrianVaulting team, vaulting on Tylers Kernel lunged by Joanne Eccles. The team consisted of Wee County members Kerri, Mitra, Mhairi, Kyra, Katie Henderson and Sally Henderson.
The CVI Two-Star and Three-Star classes saw Katie, vaulting on Captain Jack lunged by Rebecca Norval, finish second in the Female Individual ChildTwo-Star competition.
The Two-Star Senior Squad competition was won by the team from Argentina vaulting on Tylers Kernel, lunged by John Eccles
Having both lunged earlier in the competition, Rebecca Norval and Lisa Mercer then swapped their gloves for vaulting shoes and competing in the Female Individual Three-Star class, Rebecca finished fourth with Lisa in seventh . Both girls vaulted on WH Bentley lunged by John Eccles before joining forces to win the Pas de Deux class, again vaulting on WH Bentley.
