Music and theatre on the big screen
A star-studded two-part theatre performance, an exclusive opera and a concert from one of the world’s most popular music artists are all part of a fantastic line-up of big screen events to be brought to Vue Stirling this July.
The upcoming line-up includes live performances of theatrical two-part, Angels in America from the National Theatre. Andrew Garfield – famed for his roles in Silence and Hacksaw Ridge – stars in this new adaptation of the multi-award winning two part play, which documents an America which is in the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration in the 1980s. Denise Gough, Nathan Lane, James McArdle and Russell Tovey also feature with part one on July 20 and part two screened on July 27.
Also on offer this July comes the extraordinary Jonas Kaufmann concertdocumentary, My Italy. Screened exclusively at Vue venues, the German tenor is accompanied by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionalle delle RAI as he performs a series of golden hits at the Teatro Crignano in Turin.
Johnny Carr, alternative content manager at Vue UK and Ireland, said:“We’re really excited for the upcoming screening of Andre Rieu’s 2017 Maastricht Concert alongside his famous Johann Strauss Orchestra. Last year’s event broke box office records in several countries and we’re expecting just as much interest in the 2017 performance.”
