Curtainthief toldtoquit
A curtain thief has been told that his behaviour cannot continue.
William Lawson, 58, from Glasgow appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday where he admitted to stealing a quantity of curtains from a Stirling home decor store.
Lawson nabbed the drapes from the Harry Corry store in Springkerse Retail Park on January 24 this year.
The renowned shoplifter committed the offence whilst already on bail.
Fiscal depute Lindsey Brooks said: “It was a fully organised event.”
The court also heard how Lawson and a former co-accused planned to sell the goods and split the profits.
Sheriff Alison McKay said: “Your record is appalling and it’s difficult to know what to do with you.”
Lawson was handed a community payback order that includes 150 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months.
