Pedal for Parkinson’s, who hope to raise £100,000 towards Parkinson’s research and support, are also involved in the organisation of the event along with Stirling Council.
And Paul Jackson-Clark, director of fundraising at Parkinson’s UK, said: “We are delighted to be hosting our Pedal event in Stirling once again alongside the Stirling Festival of Cycling.
“I’d like to thank Stirling Cycle Hub for their fantastic support with this partnership.
“Cycling is becoming increasingly popular, and the distances on offer at our Pedal events will suit everybody from families to experienced cyclists, so I would encourage everyone to saddle-up and help us to raise awareness of Parkinson’s.
“The funds raised will make a real difference to our work to improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s in Scotland.” A summer ceilidh is set to take place in the city later this month.
People of all ages are invited along to the Tolbooth for an evening of traditional Scottish music and dancing.
A ‘caller’ will be present to take those less familiar with the dances through the steps they need to know.
The knees-up, which is being organised by Culture Stirling, will take place at 8pm on Wednesday August 23.
