Heritage exhibition Each household in the village should have received the current edition of the Wee Vine magazine, containing a map of the Heritage Trail - Reading Room, Smiddy and Old Boatyard. The latter appears to be unknown to many residents and courtesy of Mrs Jane Wilson and Kippen Heritage, is well worthy of a visit. Over the weekend of August 19/20 from 2-5pm each day it will be open together with the Reading Room, where 60 albums of Kippen photographs can be viewed and the traditional game of Summer Ice played. A chance also to examine history in the Old Smiddy with its ancient tools and items behind the War Memorial at the Cross. On the Sunday, teas at the Flower Show in the village hall - and take a peep as you pass at Kippen’s magnificent church - busy afternoons!
