Pop up culture trail gets big following

-

People were given the chance to take in some of the city’s arts, heritage and business highlights during Stirling’s first ever pop-up cultural trail.

The event, which was organised by Creative Stirling and Go Forth Stirling, allowed people to have a look around some of the area’s newest venues including the Engine Shed and CodeBase on Friday.

Those who took part in the trail were challenged to visit five sites across the city in just three hours for the chance to win £100 in vouchers for Made in Stirling.

The trail was put on as part of a nationwide programme which aims to connect MSPs and their communities during parliamentary recess – and was supported by Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford.

He said:“What a fantastic idea, geared towards getting locals and visitors out and about, and showcasing what Stirling has to offer.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the pop-up gallery at the foot of Stirling Castle as well as my visit to the Made In Stirling store – a real gem on our city’s high street.

“I’m grateful to Creative Stirling and the other organisations for putting this event together and inviting me along and I look forward to the next project, getting people out and about in our city.”

The five venues included in the trail were the Engine Shed, CodeBase, Made in Stirling, Stirling Cycle Hub and Creative Stirling’s pop-up gallery.
