Help mum create safe space for son

-

A Fallin mother is on a quest to raise cash to deliver a safe home for her four-year old son.

Kelvin Heathcoate suffers from a chromosome disorder which has affected his growth and his speech.

Now mum Hayley is trying to raise enough money to help provide a sensory room at their Fallin home.

The Castleview nursery pupil has to wear a special helmet to protect his head from knocks and health professionals have suggested Hayley create a quiet, safe space for Kelvin.

Hayley is now trying to raise the cash by organising a table-top sale.

She said:“I’m fundraising to help turn one of my bedrooms into a sensory room for him so he has somewhere to go which is quiet and safe for him. It’s beneficial for his needs as he bangs his head a lot with his chromosome disorder. It’s rare and the hospital said they won’t know if he will have any more health problems. He’s got weight problems as well as dairy allergies.”

The table-top sale is set for Saturday, October 21 from 12.30pm until 4.30pm in Fallin Church Hall.

Hayley has also set up a Just Giving page to try and raise £1300 towards the project. Donate by going to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ hayley-heathcote.
