MSP flags up work of animal charity

-

Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford has urged constituents to consider making a donation to the SSPCA.

He explained that between January and June this year, in Stirling alone, the SSPCA have attended 877 incidents and re-homed 27 animals.

Officers have re-united one pet with an owner, visited 25 primary schools and taken 3,911 children through the animal welfare education programme.

There are currently 1,020 registered SSPCA supporters in the Stirling area.

Mr Crawford said: “The work that the SSPCA does throughout the Stirling area is vital in safeguarding animal welfare.

“This includes a fantastic‘preventionthrough-education’programme, teaching young people the importance of respect for our animal companions and how to be considerate when it comes to their wellbeing.

“The figures speak for themselves this in terms of the work carried out this year in Stirling alone by the SSPCA. Many people across my constituency will be grateful for their dedication to animal welfare.”
