Kilbryde Castle garden open day

-

Sir James and Lady Campbell are kindly opening their garden at Kilbryde Castle on Sunday (September 17) on behalf of Scotland’s Gardens.

The Kilbryde Castle gardens, which will be open from 1.30-4.30pm, cover some 12 acres and are situated above the Ardoch Burn and below the castle.

The gardens are split into three parts: formal, woodland and wild.

Natural planting is found in the woodland garden. There are glorious spring bulbs and autumn colour provided by clematis and acers. There will be some new plantings for additional late summer/autumn colour.

There will also be cream teas and a plant stall. Dogs will be welcome on leads and there is partial disabled access. Admission is £5 with accompanied children free.

The Leighton Library in Dunblane will receive 40 per cent of proceeds with the remainder to SG Beneficiaries.

The castle is three miles from Dunblane and Doune, off the A820 between Dunblane and Doune. On Scotland’s Gardens open days the garden is signposted from A820.
