Ceilidh The school ceilidh band were once again getting folks dancing by performing a two-hour set for Strathendrick Baptist Church 30th Anniversary on Saturday, September 9. The dancers were entertained with the Dashing White Sergeant, Military Two-Step, Strip the Willow and waltzes amongst others, and the evening was a fantastic success enjoyed by all. Author visit Balfron High School had author Cathie MacPhail in school last Friday as part of the Bloody Scotland event. She gave an entertaining and inspiring talk to all S1 and S2 pupils. Hospitality takeover Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the Hospitality Takeover Day at Forth Valley College on Monday, September 11. It was a hands-on day looking at opportunities and careers within the hospitality industry from professional cooking to housekeeping to sustainable food and drink. Those who went were Jon Sneddon, Jamie Moir, Eilidh Lynn, Ellie Johnston, Meave Beirnie, Shannon MacLellan, Finn Wooldridge, Ashleigh McFarlane, Lauren Pearson, Chloe McKenzie, Becca Stevenson, Katie Conway, Mya Grantham.
