Homeon leave

Home on leave in Deanston were Pte Robert Allison, who had been over a year in France and was previously wounded at the Battle of Loos in 1915, and Gunner Tom Culbert, Royal Field Artillery.

Among soldiers enjoying a well- deserved holiday with relatives in Doune were privates J Bissett, a recipient of the Military Medal, and W McLeod, who had been in hospital having been wounded in France.
