Bad weather doesn’t rain on parade for competitive gardeners

One of the worst August’s, weatherwise, on record, failed to curb the enthusiasm of entrants to Callander Horticultural Society’s annual show exactly 25 years ago.

Entries to the vegetable section were high and the winner of the Marshall Rose Bowl for best exhibit was John Adie.
