Dougie Todd won the King George Bogey on Saturday with an impressive score of six holes up.

The CSS on Saturday was two-up and one-up on Friday. Dougie reserved his ticket for the annual prizegivin­g dinner and presentati­on of prizes on Friday November 17.

Kenny Mclean took 2nd place on four-up in Class 1 and Nathan Gannon edged out James Fisher, Jim Anderson, Philip Sneddon, Steven Duncan, Grant McBeath and Thomas Moore for 3rd place – all players on three-up.

Results: Class 1 - 1 Douglas Todd, 6, six-up winner King George Bogey; 2 Kenny Mclean, 9, four-up; 3 Nathan Gannon, 5, three-up bih.

Class 2 - 1 Craig Thomson, 12, four-up bih; 2 John Kilgannon, 13, four-up; 3 Colin Peebles, 13, three-up bih.

Class 3 - 1 David O’Brien, 15, three-up bih; 2 Stephen Henderson, 23, three-up; 3 Robert Motel, 15, two-up.

Club captain Campbell Leggat hosted the annual captain’s charity day on Sunday in aid of Parkinson’s Research.

A total of 23 teams competed in Texas scramble format with a shotgun start at 9am. An early chill soon disappeare­d and players enjoyed excellent golfing conditions thereafter.

Teams comprised gents, ladies, juniors and guests.

Campbell was delighted with the turn-out and thanked all the players and the generosity of raffle donations and buyers of raffle tickets.

He was delighted to advise all in attendance the sum raised was around £2000 for Parkinson’s Research.

Results: Winners - Team Kelly’s Heroes: Ben Liddell, Liam Haldane, Scott Monteith and James McKean 59-2.3 = 56.7.

Runners Up - The Four Divots: Drew Fowler, John Colquhoun, David Sharp and Colin Ferguson 61-3.6 = 57.4.

Third place - Team BofA: Garry Bowman, Graeme Bowden, Kevin Allan, Tommy Davidson 63-3.2 = 59.8.

Fourth place - Capitain Fantastics: Campbell Leggat, David Smith, S Kirk and D Gallagher 62-1.9 = 60.1 bih.

Fifth place - Gowanhill: George Wilson, Mark Kelly, Brian Dick, Lorne McCulloch jnr. 66-5.9 = 60.1.
