You have your say

Heather Macdonald: “Following customer feedback”... who on earth has ever asked the council NOT to come and collect their rubbish and recycling??? Looks like even more cutbacks and nothing whatsoever to do with “customer feedback”.

Emily Adams: “Can you tell us whose feedback was used to come up with this reduction in service? I certainly wasn’t asked. My blue box is really heavy when full, I would struggle to lift it if it wasn’t emptied every two weeks.”

Gordon Copland: “It is stated after feedback from customers. Let me get this right, I have NOT been asked for any opinion on this. And don’t know who has. I therefore ask that Stirling Council think again.”

Ashley Cameron: “Four weeks is absolutely ridiculous! What about those in the city centre too? Full of students! Idiotic move!”

Karen Roberts: “What an absolute nightmare. I struggle to push my bins to the collection point as it is without having to lift a heavy glass box - that is really awkward to carry already may I add. What a farce.” Fiona Craig: “For the amount of council tax we pay I’d expect someone to collect my empty beer bottle from my hand and take it round to the blue box.”

Teresa Gray: “This won’t last and it’ll revert back to every two weeks as the employees will refuse to lift them as they’ll be too heavy and they won’t want to do their backs in.”

Jim Bone: “Typical of this council. I don’t know about this feedback they say they got in favour of this. They must have had a show of hands in the canteen on the night shift.”

Marian Smith: “So you change the service without any notice, not everyone uses social media or looks at your website. Been told if the box is full take it to the local recycling centre. Why should I do this when I already pay you to collect? The whole system is a waste of tax payers money, there was nothing wrong with the previous system.”

Chris Maitland: “I’m sure it’s not too hard to take it to one of the supermarkets most have glass recycling but hey that’s prob too much hassle for those that think the council should do everything for them.”
