Duke of Edinburgh Awards Eighteen pupils successfully completed their DoE Silver Award expedition from September 27-19. Their route took in much of the Rob Roy Way from Glen Finglas to Strathyre, on to Lochearnhead, and finishing at the Falls of Dochart in Killin. There were a number of daily challenges which included a scavenger hunt and responding to “emergency” scenarios. A real supportive ethos developed among the teams with a great effort from all concerned. The leaders are looking forward to hearing presentations on Monday, October 23. Meanwhile S3 pupils have been invited to apply for the Bronze Award programme for session 2017/18. Pupils had to intimate what they would do for their Volunteering, Physical and Skill sections with the first training session Thursday, October 5. This will be the biggest ever intake of pupils for the Bronze Award at Wallace.
