Subliminal visit from Ibiza’s Laura and Ben
Stirling city centre’s Fubar held one of its top club nights when Subliminal hit the stage.
Special guests Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago were flown in all the way from Ibiza – just two of a handful of top superstar DJs due to be drafted in over the forthcoming months.
Since relocating to the Fubar in November last year, they’ve already brought club legends such as Allister Whitehead, Brandon Block and Alex P, Seb Fontaine, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Junior J, Jon Mancini and Iain Boney Clark, Illyus and Barrientos and K-Klass.
Subliminal DJ and promoter John Devlin said: “We had been pursuing Lovely Laura and Ben for a couple of years now but their schedule was so tight and their club brand commitments out in Ibiza kept getting in the way of us booking them.
“We felt like giving up but we’re glad we didn’t and after a night like the one we had last weekend, it was well worth the wait.
“We can’t thank their management enough as well as the club for all there support helping us put it all together.
“There was such a great buzz around town for that night and knowing we created that buzz among our followers was so rewarding.
“I can always remember as far back as the early 90s when I first started spinning at the club they were always at the forefront of the Scottish club scene, and as a commercial nightclub won numerous awards over the years.
“But we have always been known to have brought some of the best talent into Stirling, from Pete Tong to Carl Cox, M-People to Take That believe it or not.
“For me starting my DJ career here at the club over 20 odd years ago, it’s great we can carry on doing what we did best back then up until now.”
Next month Subliminal returns with a Residents’ Party and joining John on the decks will be good friends and residents of the night Bob Mitchell and Stevie Laird where they will be playing a fine selection of house music.
They also have something special in mind for a bumper New Year’s Eve Party as well as big Club Brands already booked in for next year’s events.
