Fes­tive fundraiser

Al­lan’s Pri­mary School is stag­ing its own Christ­mas Mar­ket this month in a bid to raise much-needed funds.

The school’s fundrais­ing com­mit­tee will host the mar­ket at the Holy Trin­ity Church Hall in Al­bert Place on Thurs­day Novem­ber 30 from 6.30pm un­til 9pm.

The mar­ket will in­clude over twenty dif­fer­ent stalls, in­clud­ing one for the school it­self.

Or­gan­is­ers are look­ing to raise enough funds to con­trib­ute to­wards an over­haul of the school play area.

Sara Speirs, of the Al­lan’s Pri­mary School Fundrais­ing Com­mit­tee, said:“This is all about the school and the com­mu­nity.

“It’s the first time we have done this and we are quite ex­cited about it.

“We would love to re­peat it again next year. The more peo­ple we can get in­ter­ested the bet­ter.”

The mar­ket will fea­ture over twenty stalls, in­volv­ing lo­cal busi­nesses sell­ing Christ­mas craft prod­ucts.

Sara added:“If it’s suc­cess­ful we plan to ex­pand it next year with a view to tak­ing it to the Al­bert Halls.”
