It is hard to imagine a more perfect festive setting than sitting around an open log fire with your loved ones and some fine food.

That is what you will find at The Byre Inn this Christmas.

The Byre Inn has reopened after undergoing months of renovation­s with a new look and more to offer guests.

With a fresh and exciting new menu The Byre Inn prides itself on creating dishes using locally sourced produce for you to sit back and enjoy.

Food is served all day until 9pm, from early morning breakfasts at 8am through to lunches and snacks and the dinner menu of locally sourced delights for you to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere.

The new festive menu has something for everyone this Christmas, from spiced parsnip and apple soup served with home-made bread and parsnip crisps to butterbast­ed turkey pauplette with chestnut and apricot stuffing, served with all the trimmings, and sweet delights of a traditiona­l Christmas pudding or apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream.

And, of course, round it off with a glass of fizz in the perfect setting for a festive get together.

Bookings are being taken for Christmas Day.

You can also book a private function and host your landmark celebratio­ns at The Byre Inn.

There is more than just great food at The Byre Inn. You can book in and enjoy self catering accommodat­ion and hire bikes to enjoy getting out and about and take in the stunning scenery.
