10-year blueprint to shape future for people of Stirling

Communities are being given the opportunity to shape the future of Stirling over the next decade.

Community Planning Partners have developed a draft Local Outcome Improvement Plan which sets out a vision for the Stirling area and residents are being asked to give their feedback on it.

Once finalised, the document will act as a 10-year blueprint for Stirling, its services and its work with community partners to support the people of Stirling and tackle inequalities in the area.

Residents can take part in the consultation from now until January 29 via an online survey on the Stirling Council website.

Leader of Stirling Council and CPP chair Scott Farmer said: “We’re committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for everyone who lives, works and visits the Stirling area. The Local Outcome Improvement Plan will provide us with a clear strategy benefiting people from all walks of life in Stirling.

“It’s now more important than ever that our local communities are not only supported, but that those who are affected by inequality are recognised and that action is taken to ensure the best outcomes for the people of Stirling. I encourage as many people as possible to have their say on the plan so we can fully represent the wants and needs of locals, as well address the needs of our community.”

A consultation event will also take place in the Albert Halls in Stirling on January 23 where residents can view the document and discuss the proposals. The event takes place in two sessions: 2.30-3.30pm and 6-8pm.

The Local Outcome Improvement Plan will replace the Council’s Single Outcome Agreement, as required by the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
