Man(33) deniessex attacks ongirls

- Court reporter

A man has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting two young girls in a gamekeeper’s cottage in Lochearnhead.

Mathew O’Neill is said to have repeatedly touched the girls, aged seven and four, inappropriately.

The alleged incidents, in July and August of 2016, are said to have taken place at Murdoch Keeper’s Cottage on the Glenbick Estate.

At Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday, O’Neill (33), of Kincardine Road, Crieff, pleaded not guilty to the two charges against him.

Defence solicitor Alastair Ross asked for the case to be continued for further disclosure of the Crown case.

Sheriff John Mundy continued O’Neill’s bail and ordered him to re-appear at a further hearing on February 27, when he said he hoped that a trial date could be set.
