Sign up for some Big Garden Birdwatch workshop fun

-

A Stirling store is holding free children’s wild bird workshops to support the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch.

The Pets at Home workshops take place at their Springkerse Retail Park store on the weekends of January 20 and 21 and January 27 and 28.

The My Pet Pals Wild Bird workshops teach them how to care for their flying friends.

Participants will also make a record of the other wildlife they see, providing a vital snapshot of UK nature.

The workshops will cover how to help birds survive the colder months.

It will also tell those taking part how and what to feed our feathered friends and how human behaviour can negatively affect the wildlife around us.

There will also be fun games and activities to get everyone involved in the day.

Parents can book a spot at the workshop for their youngsters for free by logging onto petsathome.com/ workshops.

It is hoped such workshops will encourage more families to get involved.

More than half a million people from across the UK took part in last year’s Garden Birdwatch, with the same turnout expected to count birds in their gardens this year over January 27 to 29.
