Gardens across the area are to stage a snowdrop festival.

The festival, organised by Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, runs from January 27 until March 11 .

Duntreath Castle in Blanefield will open by arrangemen­t from February 1. Admission costs £4 and children go free. All proceeds to Scotland’s Gardens beneficiar­ies.

Kilbryde Castle in Dunblane will open by arrangemen­t from March 1 with admission costing £4. Leighton Library will receive 40 per cent of the proceeds with the rest going towards SG beneficiar­ies.

Gargunnock House garden (pictured) will be open between 11am and 3.30pm every day from January 27 until March 11. Admission is £4 and children go free. Money is to go in the honesty box at the car park, with 20 per cent being awarded Chas and 20 per cent to Gargunnock Community Trust. The rest will be awarded to SG beneficiar­ies.
