Pick up some top tips from Rocks star

Stirling-born Glasgow Rocks star Kieron Achara will be at The PEAK later this month to help launch a new basketball programme in the city.

Kieron (pictured), who learned the game as a schoolboy at Stirling High School before going on to play professionally in Italy and Spain, will be at the city leisure complex for the new PICK UP basketball programme on Thursday, January 25 from 8.30-10pm.

The 34 year-old played for Scotland and for Team GB in the 2012 London Olympics and will be encouraging adults aged 16 and over to come along.

PICK UP will be held every Thursday, costing £3 per game and is ideal for anyone who wants to try basketball for the first time or get back playing. No experience necessary, no need to book in advance - just turn up and play.
