less stressful and more relaxing by helping to keep the car on track automatically.

The second is ProPILOT Park, which will take control of all steering, acceleration, braking and gear selection to guide the car automatically into a parking spot.

Also included is the e-Pedal, a new technology that allows drivers to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop just by adjusting input upon the accelerator pedal.

When the accelerator is fully released, regenerative and friction brakes are applied automatically, gradually bringing the car to a complete stop. The conventional brake pedal must still be used in aggressive braking situations.

New body design features include Nissan’s signature V-motion grille similar to the Nissan X-Trail and Qashqai. It also has a floating roof and sleek LED headlamps.

The redesigned interior features blue stitching in the seats, dashboard and steering wheel and comes with a new look seven-inch, full-colour display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been added to the infotainment system in cars equipped with the navigation system.

The new Nissan LEAF replaces the first-generation model, which has become the world’s bestselling electric vehicle.

More than 283,000 have been sold globally since the model went on sale in 2010.
