Join the Binos and get fit for the terracings

-

Stirling Albion are looking to help get football fans fitter as part of an SPFL Trust initiative.

Football Fans in Training (FFIT) is a free 12-week course aimed at men and women looking to make changes to their lifestyle and to improve their health and wellbeing.

The initiative is funded through the SPFL Trust and the Binos will be delivering it for the first time this year. Last season, Scottish clubs who took part saw, on average, men losing 5.82kg in weight and 10.05cm to their waist during the 12 weeks.

FFIT is completely free to participants and aims to increase knowledge of diet and nutrition; improve lifestyle choices; increase physical activity amongst participants; reduce weight and waist measurements and increase engagement in other physical activity.

Every session will look at a topic to help improve the health and lifestyle of participants as well as some moderate physical activity. Sessions will be delivered by trained Stirling Albion coaches.

The men’s FFIT class will be on Wednesdays from 6.30-8pm at Forthbank Stadium and an introductory session, known as “Week Zero”, will take place on Wednesday, March 14 when participants’data and measurements will be collated. Men taking part on the course are required to meet criteria set by the SPFL Trust – aged between 35 and 65 years old and have a waist size of at least 38 inches.

If you would like to book your free place, get in touch with Andy Todd on 01786 450399 or community@stirlingalbionfc.co. uk. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
