Have your say on parking changes

-

People are being urged to have their say on proposed changes to parking arrangements in Bridge of Allan.

The community council is reviewing parking in the town and around 500 people have already submitted replies.

The survey, which closes at the end of the month, seeks the views of residents, businesses and visitors on proposals for a mixture of 30-minute and 60-minute free parking – specifically looking at Henderson Street and Fountain Road. This follows a request from some traders to increase waiting times from the existing 30 minute.

Dunblane and Bridge of Allan councillor Graham Houston said:“I would encourage as many people as possible to take part.”

Results will be analysed after the closing date and the findings are expected to be discussed at the April community council meeting.

A survey carried out by Jam Jar Cafe owner Simon Littlejohn last year found most respondents favoured a 60-minute waiting time.

The current consultation will run until March 30 and is available to complete at ccbridgeofallan.org.uk, and can also be accessed through their Facebook page.

Paper copies are available in Bridge of Allan Library.
