Urgent call out for volunteers to help with Peace of The Mind garden

- Kaiya Marjoribanks

Friends of Kings Park is urgently seeking volunteers to help with simple gardening tasks in the Peace of Mind community garden.

The group meet in the garden, next to the playpark, on the last Friday of each month 9.45am- noon.

All are welcome and the group can also arrange to meet in the park on other weekdays, depending on volunteer availability.

The Friends are also working with Stirling Council, Active Stirling and Paths for All to plan and support improvements to the park infrastructure to make the park more welcoming, Dementia Friendly and inclusive for all park users. This project links in with recent improvements made to upper and lower footpaths within Kings Park.

Spokesperson Dorothy Wilson said: “As part of this Dementia Friendly Kings Park project, we are asking if anyone has any photographs or reminiscences about activities or events they enjoyed taking part in earlier in Kings Park, which they would be willing to share with us for a celebration we plan to hold later in the summer.”
