A fine serving of Oliver!
The talented cast of an upcoming Oliver! production have been busy in rehearsals.
Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society (SABOS) will stage a performance of Lionel Bart’s musical at the Macrobert from Tuesday (March 27) until Saturday, March 31.
And final preparations are underway as the stage stars finalise their lines and hone their‘Cockney’accents.
Audiences will be treated to a neverending list of hit songs, from Consider Yourself to Pick a Pocket or Two, when the show opens next week.
SABOS have been entertaining audiences in the area for 112 years, having been formed in 1906, making them Stirling’s longest running musical society.
This year’s cast features a whole host of new faces, including 55 children from the Stirling area.
The role of Oliver will be played by Dylan Clark and Lucas Cuthbert while Jake Speed and Alexander Bland will perform as the Artful Dodger.
Carolyn Johnston, SABOS chairperson, said:“We’ve been rehearsing hard since August and can’t wait to share the show with the local community.
“We are especially excited for our talented young people, many of whom are taking part in their first show.”
