Opening Dayat Stirling GolfClub

Club captain William McQuillan hosts Opening Day on Saturday at Stirling GC with the annual Captain’s v Vice Captain’s match, starting at 9.30am with the opening drive and photograph at 9.15am.

A snack lunch will be provided afterwards while in the evening a sell-out quiz night is being hosted.

The draws for both the Captain’s Prize and Club Foursomes have been posted in the locker room. All entrants should append their contact details, where feasible.

Dates of ties are agreed by both parties and a reminder no extensions will be granted. First round ties to played no later than Sunday, May 6.

Following the success of the last two years Stirling Golf Club has decided to run the Get Into Golf programme again to encourage people to take up the sport.

A Get Into Golf Informatio­n Afternoon will be held on Sunday, March 25 from 2.30pm at Stirling Golf Club when organisers will be there to outline the programme which includes a six-week group coaching course at £60 per person; loan of equipment; volunteer members “buddying” new players on to the course and a play package – so people can continue to play while they decide if they want to join the club.
