Kippen golfers enjoy evening of celebration

Club on Friday, June 2 for the Cauldhame Trophy.

Fourteen members attended and the results were as follows: winner Carl Olivarius, 42 points; r/u Jimi Nolan, 36 points; 3 Mark Seymour, 31 points.

The second outing was a single Stableford round played in pairs at Balfron Golf Club on Wednesday, June 23, where 16 members played for the Robert Chapman Greensomes Trophies.

Results: winners Bill Aitchison and Carl Olivarius, 43 points; rs/u Ian Leith and John Anderson, 42 points.

The third outing was a two round day at Kinross Golf Club on Saturday, July 22, where 12 members played an individual Stableford round in the morning for the Denholm Cup and ‘nearest the pin’ for the Jack Hay Cup.

Results: winner Rob McQuater, 36 points; r/u Carl Olivarius, 34 points; 3 Frank Walker, 28 points. Jack Hay Cup - Brian Horsburgh. In the afternoon members played in pairs for the Millar’s of Falkirk Goblets.

Results: winners David Campbell and Les Watson, 46 points; rs/u Rob McQuater and Brian Horsburgh, 41 points.

The fourth outing was a single Stableford round at Scotscraig Golf Club on Sunday, September 3 where members played for the Jubilee Cup and ‘nearest the pin’ for the Iain Gillies Trophy.

Results: winner Carl Olivarius, 33 points; r/u Bill Aitchison, 29 points; 3 Willie Mills, 28 points. Iain Gillies Trophy - Mark Seymour.

The Railton Scott Memorial Trophy was decided, being presented to the member with the most points over the two rounds at Kinross and Scotscraig. Winner Carl Olivarius, 67 points, r/u Frank Walker, 50 points.

The Scott Davidson Memorial Trophy Knockout competition was not completed but will be decided between Carl Olivarius and Roy Johnstone in May.
