Business week back in city

- Robert Fairnie

Companies are being invited to get involved in Stirling Business Week – which kicks-off next month.

STEP, Stirling’s business support organisation, is putting on a series of free events and workshops throughout the week starting May 7.

There will also be a presentation on the City Region Deal from Stirling Council.

The week will begin with a Women in Leadership event where Suzanne George, CEO of Denvir Marketing, will lead a panel discussion looking at the barriers facing female leaders.

On Tuesday, May 8, an innovation event will take place for those who think their business has the potential to grow, but are not sure how to go about doing it. New ideas such as 3D printing will be among the topics discussed.

And on Thursday (May 10) Professor David Bell of the University of Stirling will provide answers about how Brexit could impact upon businesses.

Workshops will also be running throughout the week at STEP and Strathard Business Hub.

Gordon Bell, CEO at STEP, said:“We’re thrilled to support the local business community and hope to see many people during Stirling Business week.

“Building on five years and hundreds of successful business themed events, our programme includes workshops, networking opportunities and seminars.”

The event is being run by STEP, supported by FSB, MML Telecom and She’s in Biz Stirling.
