Caldwell. The Dunblane branch of the Scottish Bible Society is holding a coffee morning in St Blane’s Hall on Saturday, April 21, from 10am-noon. Tickets, costing £2, are available from Heather Booth or Liz Reid. Donations of home baking are welcome. The deadline for the next issue of Chronicles is Saturday, April 28. Cathedral Midweek service will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 11am. On Saturday, April 21, there will be a coffee morning in the hall from 10am-noon organised by the local Strathcarr­on Hospice committee. Sunday worship will be a family service, when those added recently to the cradle roll and new members will be especially welcome. Cathedral Kids return after the school holidays. At 3pm there will be another in the series of quiet afternoons, focusing on Earth Day. The meeting will take place in the halls. On Monday, April 23, the Guild meets at Westlands Hotel at 11am for its AGM, followed by lunch. On Tuesday, April 24, at 7pm, there will be a meeting of the pastoral care group, focusing on helping people with mobility problems. . There will also be an opportunit­y to meet volunteers and find out more about the group’s activities.

Blairlogie SWI At the April meeting Margaret Crawford showed how to make embroidere­d chocolates from cloth and there was a hilarious time with threads, beads and cloth trying to create chocolates. The results were varied but everybody went home with a box containing two chocolates. Competitio­n results: Pancakes - 1 Evelyn Dickson, Decorated wooden spoon - 1 Shona Storer; 2 Barbara Waugh; 3 Alice Kilgour. The annual coffee morning is on Saturday, April 21, in the Scout Hall from 10am-noon There will be the usual stalls for cake and candy, tombola, garden plants and a raffle. Pensioners Associatio­n The meeting tonight (Wednesday) is a dominoes night in the church hall. The summer outing on Saturday, May 12, is to Aberdeen. Cost to members £15, non-members £20. At Music on Thursday at 2pm Les Sawers is holding a film show on old Menstrie. Coffee morning on Saturresid­ents day, April 28 from 10am–noon. On Sunday at 11am Rev Paul Sewell will preach. On Saturday, April 21, there is a Big Sing with the of Forthbank Care Home, the aim being that at 11am everyone will sing ‘You Are My Sunshine’ with all other care homes in the country. The next meeting for those involved in the Holiday Club is at 2pm on Tuesday, April 24. Communion cards and Link magazines are ready for uplifting in the session room. Sunday services begin at 10.50am with reading of the intimation­s followed by worship at 11am. Evening praise and prayer is in the side aisle of the church at 6pm.

The hall management committee will meet on Tuesday at 12.30pm and the pastoral care group will meet at the church that day at 7pm.
