TV presenter drops in at group
A whistlestop tour of programmes and celebrities by TV presenter Rachel McTavish was much enjoyed at the spring meeting of the Stirling Clackmannan and West Perth Federation in Bridge of Allan Church Hall last Saturday afternoon.
Competition entries and a superb craft display from Buchlyvie Institute decorated the hall.
Earlier, chairman Mary Young had welcomed a full attendance and requested help in stewarding Gardening Scotland and the Highland Show.
The Triennial Craft Show of the Federation takes place in Forth Valley College, Stirling, on Saturday May 19 from 1.30pm until 4pm with teas available and it is open to all.
Reports were heard from Guild and sports conveners.
The golf competition will take place at Stirling on June 13, outdoor bowling on May 31 at Braco.
Courtesy remarks were made by Anne Artis, Ruskie, and an excellent raffle preceded a splendid afternoon tea provided by members from Strathendrick.
Orders for calendars and diaries for 2019 must reach the Stirling office by May 31, syllabus competition entries likewise. The office closes on Wednesday June 13 and reopens on Thursday August 9.
