Bowling In Monday evening’s rink game points were gained by Glenise Hughes, Robert More, Andy Mayhew, Sandra Boyd, Bill Boyd, George Goodall and Max Taylor. The Jack Dunlop mixed pairs competitio­n will be played on Sunday at 10am. All players should arrive by 9.30am. The Forth and Endrick League competitio­n started last Friday. Kippen won the away leg at Strathblan­e 16-10 and lost 11-10 at home. Tonight (Friday) Aberfoyle is the opposition. SWI After official business at the May meeting in the Reading Room last week everyone enjoyed Dianne’s presentati­on of her travels to the ACWW conference in Romania and then nearer home in the Hebrides. Last year’s winner of the Meg Munro Points Cup, Effie Fraser, had the pleasure of presenting it to Margery Stirling, 2018 winner. Effie first won this cup in 1966 and again in 1999, 2004, 2006 and 2017. The Jubilee Cup was won by Effie and the Spode Plate by Ina Young and Fiona Clark. Mora Adam was warmly thanked for her three years of service as president before handing the badge to Helen Wilson and thanking her committee. At the splendid federation craft show in Stirling last Saturday, Margery, Dianne and Helen had excellent entries and gained quite a few win10am-noon.
