Tickets on sale for open-air production

Stirling Castle will host a treat for Jane Austen fans this Sunday, June 10, as it becomes the atmospheri­c backdrop for a dramatic adaptation of Sense and Sensibilit­y.

Chapterhou­se Theatre Company’s open-air production takes place from 7.30pm to 9.45pm and doors open at 6.45pm.

The story of sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood has been adapted by Laura Turner.

Assistant events and filming manager at Historic Environmen­t Scotland (HES) Laura Gray said:“We hope audiences will join us for what is sure to be a magical summer evening of theatre in the beautiful and historic setting of the Queen Anne Garden at Stirling Castle.”

Jake Reynolds of Chapterhou­se Theatre Company said:“Chapterhou­se Theatre Company is excited to bring the Jane Austen classic Sense and Sensibilit­y to one of Scotland’s most beautiful and historical­ly important buildings. Stirling Castle has played a role in Scottish history time and time again, and will provide a stunning backdrop for an evening of theatre beneath the stars.”

Tickets are available online and on the door. Historic Scotland Members will receive a 100 per cent discount when they login to the membership website to buy tickets.
